Cribmate “Aquarian Adoptee” wrote this excellent piece on how damaging secrets and lies in adoption are to everyone involved. She describes what I referred to in my book (“reality shifted under my feet”) as a “seismic shift in my foundation.” It is not a “feel-good story” that comforts us, it is an untruth we have to process and overcome.
